Located minutes from Ogunquit’s sandy beach and just over an hour north of Boston, Cliff House stretches across 70 oceanfront acres atop Bald Head Cliff on the southern coast of Maine, overlooking the ocean’s edge and Nubble Lighthouse.

Job Description:

The Objective of the program is to enhance the food product knowledge of the inter and to provide an overall understanding of the operation and its outlets through training and exposure. Depending upon individual initiative, previous work experience and business demands, each Intern will be assigned to one or all of the stations within the culinary department.

You will be a part of the culinary team which masterfully crafts distinctive dishes and cultivates an authentic food experience for our guests. Your food knowledge will be put to the test as you prepare, cook, and garnish meals which are distinct by design, yet true to its place.

Training Plan Phases:

• Orientation
• Prep & Main Kitchen
• Banquets
• Events and Outlets
• Leadership & Supervisory Training

The perfect candidate:

• Must have some culinary experience
• Communication skills
• Knowledge of safe exercise technique and principles
• Good people skills with people of all ages
• Ability to deal with a diversity of individuals

Additional Information:

• Live on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Maine
• A short drive from Portland, Maine – one of the United States treasured destinations
• Housing for $125 per week per exchange visitor (including all utilities and internet)
• Security deposit of $200 paid upfront, with $150 of that deposit eligible for a refund at the end of your program if the housing is kept in good condition
