We were told in china that WE was the airline not thai international and we could not use the lounge, had no baggage allowance other than the minimum. We chose TG because it was star alliance and we are permanent lifetime gold members. There is no reason to pay a premium for TG if it is not a TG flight and we cannot use the lounge or have a low baggage limit. The check in staff noted our bags were exactly 20 kgs each and said there would be a charge of USD45 per kilo if we had exceeded that amount. This is ridiculous given that we should have the same as UA or SG."

The line to check in had 10 people in front of me which then proceeded to take over 1.5 hours to reach the counter. then was the very last person to get on the flight - the plane then didn’t leave for another 30 minutes. Thai Smile managed to make a 1 hour flight to Vientiane turn into a 4-5 hour journey between arriving early, waiting forever in the counter check in line, then being driven to the plane and actually leaving. Bangkok Airways and Air Asia (don meaung) is the better option for this short journey."

Lost my money and had to buy another ecpencieve flight from Malaysia airlines because couldn't stay in transit zone more than 12 hours and couldn't get visa on arrival. Later coldn'd find that stupid transit policy ether on Thai Smile or Kayak. If that policy in place why not publish that BEFORE people spend their money for service not provided? Very unsatisfied"

All of the cheaper budget airlines charge for everything including checked bags, drinks and food. It's only a few baht/ US dollars more than the other airlines but well worth it for what you get in return compared to the other airlines such as Air Asia!"

Bangkok Air has been hit with the challenge of flying during COVID like everyone else. Still, they are early to get started again and offer normal services when possible. It is nice to have a lounge for all passengers vs. going to gate and sitting to stare out at planes.

All staff were super friendly and was possibly the easiest day of travel. Would highly suggest Bangkok Air to anyone. Great experience."

They rarely walked around the cabin to make sure they couldn't get something for you or even take your trash. I held an empty cup during almost an entire movie. When I finally got up to toss it, I gave it to a stewardess who was standing right there by the closes curtain who acted like that it was beneath him to do so. They would rush up and down the isle and pretty much shove your meal on you. Ugh they were just rude. None of want to be there either, especially when it's so hot in the cabin and the seats were so narrow!!"

Multi coloured calming lighting and no window blinds ! 5heh work electinically like polarised glasses! What next! Highly recommend Thai Air for business class."

ข้อเสีย: "The service upon arriving to the airport was absolutely atrocious. We attempted to check in and the woman behind the counter gave us a huge problem. When I booked, I must have put the ticket under Susie instead of Susanne and despite showing her my passport she said I was going to be charged 800 baht to fix my name. It took two separate supervisors for them to realize that the passport number I booked with was in fact the same passport number I was presenting to them. I also wanted to check a piece of luggage and had to go to a different counter, waiting on another line to pay for the luggage. Not one person explained that upon landing in Bangkok for my layover that I would need to take my luggage off of the carousel and then repeat the process I did at the Chiang Mai Airport. It baffles me that they have no organization because prior to getting up to the counter, 4 people were clearly unhappy with the customer service. I would not recommend this airline company to anyone, in fact I would advise that people wouldn’t use it."

Then once we get into a building we have to walk up a flight of stairs with our suit cases. I was traveling with my 72 year old mother. Not impressed. It's one thing to delay flights it's another to make your passengers go through hoops to get to their destination."

If you want to check in a second luggage you have to check in 4 hours ahead and you still have to pay a lot of money, and it is based on the weight of your luggage . If you don't check in 4 hours in advance and you have an extra suitcase, they charge you by the kilogram and it is ridiculously expensive. More than he cost of the entire flight! And if your flight has multiple legs, you have to pay for the extra luggage every single leg."
