This post contains affiliate links. I won this product in a giveaway. SKIN1004 caught my eye in late 2021, because it seemed to be all over social media (and in a lot of PR packages, advent calendars, etc). After trying several of their offerings (read reviews by clicking
#SKIN1004 ), I can see that the hype is well deserved. Almost everything I’ve tried has worked well for my combination skin. I’m currently using SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule (along with the toner from the same line), available on

Stylevana (code INF10KBH). This ampoule features MadeWhite™ derived from centella, plus 4% niacinamide and tranexamic acid to improve the look of dull, tired skin. The patented ingredient is encapsulated for greater stability - the tiny capsules can be seen throughout the ampoule.
How to use:
Gently massage into skin after cleansing and toning
Follow with moisturizer (and SPF in the morning)
Tranexamic acid is the rising star of pigmentation care, and I’m very excited to see it featured in more products. It can take many weeks of consistent use to see results, so a generously sized product that is applied daily is a perfect vehicle. I talk more about tranexamic acid and my other pigmentation favorites in this video.
The texture is light and almost watery with noticeable capsules - I can feel them on the skin initially, but then they burst and get absorbed. I haven’t experienced any stickiness with this product. There’s no scent.
My impressions
This is a good ampoule for hydration and gentle pigmentation care. To me, it makes a lot more sense to use this vs the toner in the same line (of course, they can be paired together, but I think the ampoule is the real winner here). Dealing with pigmentation is a long and slow process, and tranexamic acid can take weeks of daily use to work, so I appreciate the size of the bottle. I also apply this to my legs where I have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from ingrown hairs (which has been fading nicely due to all of my efforts).
Overall, a good ampoule that I will continue using. I’m already noticing a subtle brightening effect and of course extra hydration.
